October 22: Bursary AGM and Our Local Women's Transition House

November 26: Mining or Recreation
An audio- visual presentation and discussion on Pan Pacific Aggregates

December 10: Christmas party - at St. Bart's in Gibsons.
Enjoy a fabulous Christmas buffet, and be entertained. Entertainment by "Marg Soloway with the Jazz Singers.



January 28: Affordable Housing on the Coast: is this possible?
Sue Jackel knows the difficulties seniors face when needing services and downsizing. What about young families? Can Habitat for Humanity help?


February 25: Healing Touch
Patricia Baker will give us insights into this ancient and current practice. She will also demonstrate.


March 24: Resolutions
Canadian University Women CAN make a difference. Vote on this year's resolutions to send to our national Convention and then to the federal government.


April 28: Water, Water Everywhere?
Citizens on the Coast are leading the way to protect watershed areas in Canada. Participate in an update.

May 26: Annual General Meeting-CFUW
Current issues, board changes, policy modifications, all the new dirt! Come out and participate!

MEETINGS
General Membership - 4th Monday of each month, September to May at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's United Church, Davis Bay Road, Sechelt (Davis Bay). Speakers are invited and a light lunch is served. The lunch is provided for each meeting by members on a sign-up basis and there is a $3.00 charge.  The December and June meetings take the form of a social event for members.

Board of Directors meetings are held the third Monday of every month at 9:30 a.m. The Board is elected every year at the Annual General Meeting in May from a slate drawn up by a three-member nominating committee, chaired by the Past President. Those elected serve a one-year term, beginning July 1, which may be extended for a second year. Under extraordinary conditions, a reappointment may be made for one additional year only.
